Walk in and get botoxed
Filed in archive News on July 4, 2007
I'm so busy sometimes I forget to get an appointment for a leg wax, which usually means my trusted razor and shaving cream jump in as a handy alteration. With so many meetings and appointments you have to catch on time, is there a way to get botoxed on the go?
Well, yes there is. Not that I approve needling poison into your frown lines to look younger, but if that's your choice of holding on to your youth, I'm not going to judge you.
Now you can use your lunch brake and get those wrinkles smoothed away at a smart new botox-office called Smoothmed, a few steps from Bloomingdales. New York Times reports:
"A patient's first visit to Smoothmed should take about 30 minutes or less, and follow-up appointments will take 15 minutes or less, he said. "People just need to be educated that it's fast, it's cheap and it's not intimidating."
Smoothmed is a 1,100-square-foot medical office with golden walls, large plate-glass windows and three treatment rooms. Dr. Elkwood said first-time patients will have a consultation with a doctor who takes their medical history, examines their faces and explains the benefits and risks of Botox.
Dr. Rose said Smoothmed plans to charge $12 to $13 per unit of Botox, which will add up to about $250 to $300 for the forehead or eye area and roughly $150 for the lip area."
An interesting idea, I must say.
