For Sex & the City fans, what do you do when your favorite show has ended and the movie has moved into the video/DVD market? Do you cry over your Manolos, bemoaning the lack of fashion inspiration on the tube? Do you sob into your Cosmos? No need to grieve any longer, a new fashion maven is on the scene and for any of us over the age of 21, she's more than welcome.

Premiering tonight (October 10) on the USA Network is The Starter Wife, starring Debra Messing. She plays Molly Kagan, a woman who finds herself divorced and newly single. I don't have any more details than that, but I do have some details on the fashion you'll see on the show.

Excerpted from an interview on eye4style, lead stylist for the show, Agata Maskiewics, says this in response to: What role does fashion play in The Starter Wife?

"Fashion is almost like another character in The Starter Wife. So much of the personality of the actors comes through in the clothing they wear. Our goal is to have the audience as excited about the fashions as they are the characters. We want the people at home to feel as though they can hear the ruffle of Molly's Zac Posen silk dress and smell the exquisite leather of her Manolos. We want them to daydream about getting into Molly's closet and have the opportunity to dress from it everyday as she does. And yes, the closet is huge, since as a Hollywood woman, she never repeats an outfit!"

Did she just say Zac Posen and Manolos in the same sentence? I'm dying to see some of these outfits they put together on Debra Messing's enviable body! Tune in tonight. I'm going to try and pay as much attention to the actual storyline as the clothing.
