The one and only - Crème de la Mer
Filed in archive Beauty on May 1, 2007
You must have heard about the wondrous, amazing, incredible Crème de la Mer, more probably read raves from the mouth of celebrities than from your girlfriends. It is the one and the only moisturizer in the world which looks really shabby, is difficult to put on and smells kind of weird, but costs more than gold.
So, is it really that good? I would, even sadly, have to agree, since it gave me a radiant look, not greasy, not dry, my skin felt great. I had no breakouts and I didn't have to use an additional eye cream. Once I tried it I never wanted to try another cream, but since it costs $195 for 2 oz, I have decided to save it for the colder season, when my skin needs more nourishing, while I might also get (crying even now as I am writing this) Crème de la Mer lotion for summer, since it is not as rich.
The trick to making the crème de la Mer work is to apply it properly. The instructions say:
"THE SECRET
Crème de la Mer's Miracle broth™ is suspended within its extraordinary formula. To activate the broth and release its key ingredients, warm a small amount between your fingertips. As you pat onto clean, dry skin, you will instantly feel the soothing effects of the broth. Smooth over your face, neck, even under the fragile eye area."
So, if you're feeling you really deserve a great, top of the line moisturizer, and have the money, I would most definitely recommend Crème de la Mer. Just don't get addicted!
