The all-powerful Obagi cosmetics

As I found out at the fantastic Jolie in NYC blog, Obagi cosmetics might be the best products out there for reducing wrinkles, pigmentation problems and acne. Jolie says:

Today I was particularly intrigued by a recommendation from cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Anthony Youn when he responded to a question about his favorite prestige skincare products: "...the mother of all medical-grade skincare lines, Obagi. Obagi is the most aggressive, most effective skin care line to reverse aging changes and create visible anti-aging results. It is one of the only skin care lines I'd stake my reputation on." I mean, wow.

I neither have tried Obagi products, but according to Makeup Alley testimonials, this is one hell of a powerful cosmetic line. Gals at MUA are raving about the Nu Derm Obagi line, which is formulated specially for the aging skin. The Obagi site says:

As you age and your skin incurs the abuse of daily living (such as sun, stress, pollution), the cell turnover rate slows down. This means that the new cells take longer to form and reach the top. The old cells accumulate and stay on the surface longer. As the stratum corneum thickens and the area of new cells shrink, skin becomes less healthy. You begin to notice those unwelcome signs of aging including: fine lines and wrinkles, freckles and age spots, uneven skin tone, loss of elasticity and loss of natural skin hydration.

Yes, yes and yes. Those words are true for every woman turning 30. If you are willing to give these products a try, you'll have to visit your physician or a dermatologist, as Obagi is sold only with prescription. Let me know how it goes.
