If you're a frequent flyer, then you must be freaking out because of the Travel Security Administration ban of all liquids and gels form passenger cabins. One way to deal with this restriction is to comply and land uncombed, zombie looking, no where near the business dive people are expecting or to play smart, and replace your liquid cosmetics with solid ones.
The darling Anna Bahney at New York Times wrote down how to make your cosmetics flyable, and have it with you on board:
"To freshen up on the plane there are Stila Petal Infusions Eye Makeup Dissolver pads ($20, Sephora) or ModelCo Exfoliate Body Wipes ($22, Sephora). And to avoid the drying and flaking that often come with a long flight in recycled air, you could pack a lip-balm stick like Vitamin C SPF 15 Lip Care Stick ($5, the Body Shop) and use Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Stick ($12.50), which melts at body temperature but at room temperature is a solid.
For that stale "we've been sitting on the runway two hours longer than the entire flight is supposed to take" aroma, there's solid perfume like Trouble Poudrier à Parfum ($50, Bergdorf Goodman, Macy's Herald Square) by Boucheron Paris, which is like a pressed powder compact. Even more useful - and also acceptable - is a solid deodorant like Secret Invisible Solid (about $3.60 at drugstores)."
Read the whole article and stay beautiful in air and on land upon arriving.
(Oh, did you know you'll have to remove your shoes before getting scanned? It would be a good idea to bring a few pairs of disposable slippers to avoid getting some nasty infection while shoeless and also think about leaving your Brian Atwood suade boots at home, since they'll be a hustle to take off, and the TSA personnel might not handle them with caressing love they are used to.)
