Signature Style

What do each of these famous people have in common?

* Cindy Crawford
* Karl Lagerfeld
* Michael Jordan

Any guesses? Each of them have their own, unique signature. For Cindy Crawford, it's the beauty mole and big hair. For Lagerfeld, it's the sunglasses that he wears morning, noon and night. For Jordan, it's the shaved head. It would be as strange to see Jordan with hair as it would be to see Crawford sashay down the runway with a gamine haircut. These signatures (whether they were born with them or adopted them at some point in life) make them recognizable.

Do you have a signature yet?

If you're very young, you may not have identified something that defines you yet. This is something that some people never have, but others latch onto. Sometimes, it's good (as with the cleanly shaved head); sometimes, it's not so good (holding onto a bouffant hairdo?).

My signature, which I didn't realize would be my signature at first, is big sunglasses. The bigger, the better. I like them not only because they make me feel movie-starish, but also because the more coverage you have, the more protection your eyes get. I've been wearing oversized shades for at least a decade and have no crow's feet. I attribute that to religious moisturizing and the sunglasses.
