Riding boots are chic

If you haven't already, it's high time to get some boots. You must have by now bought your high heel stiletto boots, or have some left-over from earlier years, but for the ultimate chic this winter and early spring you'll need some flat knee-high boots, also known as riding boots.

Riding boots can indeed be worn with anything. I myself wear them with my skinny jeans tucked in, with dresses and skirts and also for going out, when I'm trying to achieve that effortlessly glamorous look. The best are:

Salvatore Ferragamo boots are just the right color - dark, rich chocolate. Made in Italy out of pure leather. Available at Saks for $610

Antonio Melani Steeple boots are made for walking. Very nice and interesting detail of leather braid and a buckle. Availabe at Dillards for $178
