Party Attire for the Season

Filed in archive Dresses , Holidays , Information about , Style on December 19, 2008

Do you have a slew of parties to attend this season? Looking for the perfect outfit to wear? Now, we can always grab that all-black ensemble from the closet, but come on, let's be a little more festive. I have some looks to show, not all of which will be accessible or in our price range, but this is more for inspiration.

No little black dresses in the bunch!

This is Alexander McQueen. It's sleek, it's simple, it's elegant. The deep V-neck looks great on just about everyone, but if you wear it as shown, this is one time when being smaller-busted is an advantage. Slacks are great for those of you who feel more comfortable in them than in dresses.

This is BCBG Max Azria. If you have legs for days, this is perfect for you. The pleated collar adds visual interest up top, while the loose, flowing shape won't emphasize the extra treats you may have had.

Another BCBG dress. I didn't mean to repeat designers but this one is adorable. First of all, the color is gorgeous - not a shade you're going to see on everybody. The belt is unique and the one-shoulder detail adds some sex appeal without being over the top.

Next time, we'll do shoes (my favorite!)
