New Faces of Fashion

Finally, some diversity on the catwalk. If you think fashion has always considered models of every color and ethnicity to be "in," unfortunately, this is not the case. The "all black" Italian Vogue made a big splash several months ago because for the longest, fashion magazine honchos have told us that non-blondes on the cover don't sell. It was big news when this issue sold so well that it was hard to find.

These beautiful faces hail from all over the globe. America, of all places, is supposed to be the definitive "melting pot," so you would think we'd see more diversity than just about anyplace else, wouldn't you? Fashion, there doesn't need to be "only one" Asian, African, Indian, Brazilian, Native American model for the season.
