Funny, I was just talking about the lack of models on magazine covers and look at the prettiness that is August Vogue. kate moss, longtime waif and model muse, graces this month's cover.

Now Kate came along at a time when the Supermodel-as-brand was still going strong. Kate and girls of her ilk - willowy, not as Amazonish - were seen as an answer to the big, broad girls who commanded the catwalk. Suddenly, the models became even skinnier and Kate was almost the new Twiggy.

This all took place right around the time we got a new Democratic president in office; after years of Republican rule, the entire country wanted something fresh, new and young. Kate was the answer.

August Vogue is the Age(less) issue. I really love it, as well as the Size issue that looks at different body types and tries to reassure you that even if you're not 5'11, a size 4 and dating a football star, that you're still gorgeous (heh).

Anybody else remember Kate when she first hit the fashion scene and all of those Calvin Klein ads she did? She probably sold as much underwear as Brooke Shields did jeans.
