Havaianas Flip-Flops Start a New Tradition
Filed in archive Did you know on January 10, 2010

I love new things, but at heart I'm a traditionalist. So when something new is made out of something old, it's sure to capture my heart.
Havaianas makes adorable flip-flops that are inspired by the Japanese sandals called Zori. Zori have straw soles, which is why you'll find a textured rice pattern on the Havaianas foot-bed. I love that, since Havaianas are made in Brazil.
Havaianas was founded in 1962 so now it's their turn to be a classic.
They were there in 1998 for the World Cup with a special edition with a tiny Brazilian flag on the strap - sounds cute, huh? Well now they have limited editions of their womens sandals for today's audience.
Their fashionable flip flops come in all types of looks and colors. They even make a pair I'm really partial to: pink flip-flops with crystal hearts on top.
Maybe the style will become a new tradition!
