The business world often makes us go to parties with people we would rather not spend our time with, but that's life. So, the next time you have to go to a cocktail party, opera benefit, charity dinner or similar event, make sure you look exquisite.
Looking great will make your face muscles pain less from false smiles, and who knows, you might even meet someone interesting, so there's no point to sulk. Dress up, do your makeup and hair and you might even have a good time.
My perfect party outfit would consist of Elissa Coleman strapless orchid dress ($547 at Browns), which will make you look dreamy, a Harrison Morgan silk and cashmere Cardigan ($125 at Saks), to save you from shivering, and a pair of Michael Kors Shelley open toe pumps ($142 at Zappos).
