Great match: Dress in one color

Filed in archive Great match - on sale , Outfits , Trends by Ivy on August 07, 2007

Maybe you knew it, and maybe you didn't, but monotone dressing is rather stylish at the moment. This means you can wear one color, one shadelinks, from head to toe, and look like a true fashionista.

Obviously, monotone is not as fun in black or white, so I suggest real color, be it red, green or royal blue. One of the hottest colors for the summer and fall to come is purple, so I've done that combo for you:
Great match: Dress in one color

The dress is Tempted Jersey Surplice (only $44 at Macy's), which looks great with Charles David strappy sandals (Bluefly for $49). The dVb Style sunglasses ($250 at Shopbop) make your purple intent serious, and there's also a purple pashmina shawl, if it gets chilly.
