For those in New York: If you have some time on your hands, are craving for some fashion and nice time and want to do some good on top of it all, do stroll down to the lush Garden of Ono at the Gansevoort Hotel, 18 9th Avenue on September 1. Starting at 7 pm a charity fashion event will take place, with international fashion designers raising money for the Business council for peace.
The designers showing their designs will be: Patrick and Fabrice Tardieu of Bogosse, Natasha Ulyanov and Kelly Van Gogh as well as Pamela Boudreaux of Tullee Couture and Millinery (just click on the names to see a sneak preview of what might be going on at Fashion For Peace event)
The whole Fashion For Peace, as the press release states is organized to raise funds:
The funds raised during Fashion For Peace will help Afghan, Rwandan and Iraqi businesswomen in the Bpeace program gain the training they need to expand their businesses. Believing that jobs translate to less violence, Bpeace, is a non-profit coalition of apolitical businesspeople who volunteer help women in conflict and post-conflict countries build sustainable businesses. Garden centers, beauty salons, textile and craft industries and construction and basic service businesses thrive and stand for the re-building of peace.
As you and me both know, you're on your way up the executive ladder, so why not help other women make their own business dreams come true? The tickets for the event are $50, for the info call Clinton Stowe, 212.660.6700 or clinton.stowe@chinagrillmgt.com

Not at all. I only wish there would be more of these actions.
