Expensive shoes: are you worth it?

Browsing through Zappos I can't help but visit their couture shoe selection. Although I know it sometimes hurt to spend substantial amount of $$ for shoes, I can't help but think - aren't we worth it?

Like one of my friends says: You can pay the rent or you can get those shoes, and I usually end up getting the shoes.

Don't you just love the shoes I found? They are Gianfranco Ferre platform pumps, made of velvet, satin and printed lizard leather, in a wonderful colors of amethyst and deep purple. With some interesting details these would look just stunning on your feet!
