Cardigans, a classic

Filed in archive Outfits , Tops on October 23, 2007

If there is one thing I would tell you that you need in your closet it would be a cardigan. I love them. They make any outfit look put together instantly and if you are running late, they are a perfect "go-to" item. Now when I say cardigan you probably think of the classic "twin-set" type look, which was for awhile the only way to wear a cardigan. Nowadays though, it can worn by itself with a collar shirt, or a t-shirt, making it a must have closet basic.

Jcrew.jpg This screams style. This would look great with almost anything. Cashmere schoolgirl cardigan from J. Crew, $175
lacoste.jpg To this day my grandfather still wears cardigans from Lacoste. I always remember seeing the little alligator on his sweater. Well, this isn't your grandfather's sweater, but it is from Lacoste and it is oh so very pretty Lacoste Argyle Boyfriend Cardigan, $175 at Saks
spiegal.jpg Now a cardigan doesn't necessary have to sit at your hip, they can be longer. Like this one, from Spiegel, Signature Silk-Blend Belted Cardigan $69
macys.jpg They can also be different cuts and shapes, like this Babydoll cardigan from Nine West, available at Macys, $89
