Trends

Well, I know that spring is not here yet, but with our busy schedules we might as well plan ahead. Every new season reminds me once again how wonderful and adventurous clothing can be, and how much work it takes to look trendy, stylish and in the know.
Here are first five trends to look out for in spring fashion. Cuts, colors, details - only a true fashionista will care, and we both now it matters! Don't be late and don't get caught wearing 'last season' items!
1. Metallics are not over yet - Gold, silver, bronze and all other colors metallized are going take over almost all clothing and accessories for spring. It can get difficult to wear metallics, but with some help of your truly beloved, we can work it out.
2. Sport chic - This spring sportswear gets to a completely different level, and it becomes oh-so-trendy to get out in a sweatshirt, to wear sneakers all day long or eat lunch in yoga pants and a tennis dress. This means luxury, glittery, top range items, but you get my point.
3. The right kind of blue - 'Do you have this in electric blue' will become the most asked question in shops worldwide. This distinguished blue will be the trademark of every fashionista worldwide.
4. D'Orsay cut shoes - Sure, platform-y shoes are still in, but thanks to some really nice people, stylish pumps are getting back in fashion. The D'Orsay cut means we have to learn to walk properly in high heels. This book might help.
5. Eighties are here to stay - We had a glimpse of the 80s trend this winter, and, for good or bad, that trend is having its full blow this spring. Think Dallas, Dynasty and Lady Di, together with power-dressing and shoulder pads. Now turn it down a notch, add modern material and some reasonable sense and you'll get the new eighties.
